Soulpepper's annual fundraiser, Soulpepper at Play returns on October 26, 2011 at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto's historic Distillery District. The gala evening will be hosted by Artistic Director Albert Schultz, and Chaired by Soulpepper
Board Director Donna Slaight.

This year's event promises to be as exciting as ever. The over 300 guests will include the Soulpepper Board of Directors, our generous individual and corporate supporters, and prominent members of Toronto's arts, business and philanthropic community.

The evening begins with attendees joining Soulpepper Founding and Academy Artists for a cocktail reception followed by a gala dinner in four intimate venues within the Young Centre. The venues will each feature a Soulpepper Artist host and special programming leading up to the main event!

After dinner, guests will be led into the Marilyn and Charles Baillie Theatre where a post-dinner cocktail will be served and the main event performances will take place. Sit back, have fun and prepare to be entertained by the Soulpepper ensemble all in the name of a wonderful cause: Soulpepper Theatre Company!

Throughout the evening a silent auction will feature unique opportunities and items for the highest bidders, and a live auction with Albert Schultz as auctioneer will comprise part of the entertainment for the evening.

The 2010 Soulpepper at Play was the most successful fundraiser in the company's history, raising $400,000 in much needed operational funds. With your support we look forward to surpassing that success in 2011. As a not for profit organization, Soulpepper relies on donors and sponsors for over 40% of its operating revenues - events like this have a tremendous impact on what Soulpepper can deliver to audiences and to its artist training and community outreach programs.
