TAX RECEIPTING POLICY: Donors at various giving levels receive benefits as recognition and engagement opportunities. Donors cannot pay for the benefits they receive (e.g. tickets, receptions or dinners). Donor benefits are renewable annually and expire one year following the date of contribution. In accordance with CRA regulations, the value of benefits at the particular level of the donation is deducted from the total gift. The Official Tax Receipt amount is determined by subtracting the fair market value of said benefits, if any, from the donation amount. A donor may choose to waive benefits and receive a full tax receipt if desired.

Official Tax Receipts will only be issued for gifts greater than $10.

Tribute and memorial gifts are a unique way to express your thoughts to a friend or loved one. Mark a special occasion, sympathize with a loss, honour an important individual, or celebrate a great accomplishment with a gift to Soulpepper.

When you make a tribute gift, we will send the honoree a personalized card to acknowledge the special occasion and your gift in their name. When you make a memorial gift to honour the memory of a loved one or express sympathy, we will send a personalized card to the family with your thoughts.

Exceptional women supporting exceptional theatre

Celebrating its seventh year in 2013, Top Women brings together women who share an appreciation for theatre for a unique opportunity to support Soulpepper Theatre Company.

Top Women began in 2007 when the female members of the Soulpepper Board of Directors decided to create an opportunity for like-minded women interested in theatre to get together, learn about and support a Soulpepper production annually. Each year Top Women have chosen to support a play that prominently features female Playwrights, Artists, Designers or Directors.  The support from Top Women culminates in a special performance evening of the sponsored production and an intimate opportunity to meet the cast and creative team.

To date, Top Women has sponsored five productions: Judith Thompson's White Biting Dog, Caryl Churchill's Top Girls, Marsha Norman's 'Night Mother, Jean Anouilh's Antigone and John Murrell's Waiting for the Parade. Since 2007, Top Women has raised over $145,000 for Soulpepper productions.
