Every summer, Soulpepper invites 14 youth (ages 16-19) to work
with Soulpepper artists and company mentors in a six-week intensive
program. This program is aimed at providing youth with creative
programming and mentorship opportunities that enhances their
knowledge, understanding and experience of the performing arts. The
participants are exposed to various art forms including movement,
scene work, music, visual art, spoken word, writing and dance, and
have the opportunity to be mentored by Soulpepper Company artists.
Through these experiences the youth develop a showcase presentation
to share with family and friends at the Young Centre for the
Performing Arts. No experience is required from the youth, just an
interest in exploring their city, the arts and the collective
