Soulpepper is looking for young artists ages 16-19 to participate in its six-week performance training program!

WHAT IS THE CITY YOUTH ACADEMY?

  • A six-week summer performance training program for youth from across the GTA, taught by professional artists
  • A next step for driven young artists to inspire their creativity, artistic discipline, and support the development of their artistic practice

WHO IS THE CITY YOUTH ACADEMY FOR?

  • 16-19 year old artists not currently enrolled in a post-secondary theatre program
  • Those deeply interested in the performing arts and seeking training opportunities
  • Those who are interested in collaboration and contributing to a creative ensemble
  • Those who can commit 100% to all the dates and times of the program

WHAT IS THE COST OF THIS PROGRAM? IT’S FREE!
Participants will be given $490/week

Monday, July 16 – Friday, August 24, 2018 (No session on Monday, August 6, due to Civic Holiday)

10am—5pm daily

Submissions for the City Youth Academy are now closed.

SELECTION PROCESS

AUDITIONS/ INTERVIEWS
Soulpepper will audition selected applicants in late April 2018.

CALLBACK 
After the interview/audition process Soulpepper will invite a short-listed group of applicants to participate in a full-day workshop together. Attendance at the callback is mandatory to be considered for the program.

The callback date is Sunday, May 6, 2018 11am – 4pm
