New Media and Interactive Storytelling
This strand of the Soulpepper Academy will introduce new forms of storytelling across genres, technologies and platforms. Instead of a “gee-whiz, cool tech” approach, we’ll look at technology and design, in the service of storytelling. Participants will be encouraged to dive in with healthy skepticism and curiosity. References, guest speakers, and readings will come from the world of virtual reality, mixed reality, games, interactive fiction and non-fiction, and of course, theatre and performance.
