WHAT IS COUNTDOWN PRICING?
In short: The earlier you buy, the more you save on tickets.
- 40% off when you book 4+ months out from the first performance
- 30% off when you book 3 months out from the first performance
- 20% off when you book 2 months out from the first performance
- 15% off when you book 1 month out from the first performance
Each level is available for a limited number of tickets and may sell out early. If a tier reaches its limit before its scheduled date, tickets will automatically move to the next available discount. Once performances begin, tickets are sold at full price.

Why Introduce Countdown Pricing?
The reality is clear: attending and producing theatre is more expensive than ever.
- As the cost of living continues to rise, we know that it makes it harder to attend theatre as often as you’d like.
- At the same time, ticket revenue covers only about one-third of what it costs to bring each production to life. We’re always working to balance affordability for our audiences with the real costs of creating ambitious work on stage.
Countdown Pricing is our way of doing both.
It rewards early booking with meaningful savings, while helping us plan ahead and invest fully in every production.
How can I access my Countdown Pricing discount?
There is no promo code or special link required to access countdown pricing discounts. Simply navigate to the performance you'd like to attend and when selecting your seats from the seating map, select the discounted seat option.
Checkout as you normally would and you're all set!
What happens when a Countdown Pricing discount level sells out?
If a Countdown Pricing level sells out before its scheduled date, tickets will automatically move to the next available discount level. Each level has a limited number of tickets, so once that allocation is reached, the discount adjusts accordingly. Depending on availability, the next level may remain on sale until its scheduled date—or sell out sooner.
To secure your savings we reccomend booking as early as possible. Remember, you can always book your tickets and change your performance date later if you need to!
What happens if I need to exchange my tickets? Will my discount still apply?
Yes! Our flexible exchange policy lets you lock in your savings early while still giving you the freedom to change your performance date up to 48 hours before the show.
Which Productions are included in Countdown Pricing?
Countdown Pricing applies to all Soulpepper mainstage productions at our venue. It does not apply to co-productions at other theatres or George Brown shows.
For this initial launch, all shows are available at the top-tier discount of 40% off until February 22, 2026, or while quantities last. This includes: WITCH, COPPERBELT, DETROIT, HOW TO CATCH CREATION, TIGER BRIDE, MEDUSA, HAPPY DAYS, and REVOLUTIONARY WOMEN IN BLUES.
After February 22, each show will move to its regular Countdown Pricing level.
How much can I save with Countdown Pricing?
You can save up to 40% on tickets if you book 4+ out from the first performance of a production. From there the discounting drops down either by date or available tickets from 30%, 20% and 15%.
Once a show is on stage, tickets are full price.
Can I combine Countdown Pricing with other offers?
Countdown Pricing cannot be combined with other promotions or group discounts.
Does Countdown Pricing apply to all seat sections?
Yes! Countdown pricing can be claimed on any seat in the house.
