A special one-night-only concert experience by celebrated musician and artist Ahmed Moneka, commemorating his 10 years in Toronto and featuring his Juno-nominated Moneka Arabic Jazz band.
This unmissable and one-of-a-kind evening of live music and performance, showcases the panoramic soundscape of his ancestors—from Sufi African influences to Iraq and the Arabic Maqam—highlighting the places he calls home, including Toronto.
The concert will include songs by Ahmed Moneka and stories about his life and history.
This concert takes place during the run of Ahmed Moneka's Dora award-winning play King Gilgamesh.
