E.P. Dowdall

Adaptor

E.P. Dowdall (Adaptation Source Material) is a retired I.T. professional living just outside of New York City. He is the nephew of the playwright Miklos Laszlo, author of the original Hungarian play Illatszertar from which his English language adaptation of Parfumerie was developed. Truly a “family project”, the current English adaptation was created based on the original 1936 play subsequently translated by Mr. Laszlo and his wife Florence in 1956. Parfumerie premiered at the Asolo Theatre in Sarasota, Florida in 2009 and was used for the Grand Opening of the Wallace Annenberg Center for the Arts in Beverly Hills, California in 2013. It continues to be performed in the U.S. and all around the world. Mr. Dowdall is a member of BMI and the Dramatist’s Guild.
