TONY OFORI
Tony is an Emmy Award nominee and two time Dora Mavor Award winner who is based out of Toronto Canada. Tony attended a three year theatre conservatory at Humber College, later completing a theatre studies program at York University. Tony has appeared in several major television productions including; The Trades staring Rob Wells ( Trailer Park Boys), Hudson and Rex (CTV), Coroner (Netflix), Star-Trek Discovery , and films such as ; Song & Story: Amazing Grace (OWN Network), and A Royal Queens Christmas ( Hallmark). IBDFF Award Winning film, Sway. Tony’s recent theatrical productions include Three Sisters, Wildwoman (Soulpepper Theatre) and Fat Ham(Canadian Stage).
Branching out, Tony has also voiced animated shows, audiobooks and national events which include the 2018 Winter Olympics, Let’s Go Luna and DeRo: My Life. With a passion for giving back, Tony currently sits on the board for Black Scholar Dollars, a non-profit organization whose mission is to serve Black post- secondary students in the Greater Toronto Area, eliminating educational and economic injustice, one student at a time.
What’s next for Tony this year? You can catch him in the the mini series Inheritance Starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw later this year. Tony also stars in Myhammad Ali Drama The Greatest, due to come out early next year. Lastly Tony Stars is Film Sway, a Canadian thriller which will hit theatres all across Canada this summer!
