Yvonne Ng

Instructor

Born in Singapore and based in Toronto, Yvonne Ng is a dance artist, choreographer, educator, and producer who creates thoughtful, human-centred performances and community arts experiences. Her work uses movement and storytelling to explore identity, memory, and how people connect to one another - onstage and in everyday life.

In addition to her performance practice, Yvonne has a long-standing commitment to arts education and community engagement. She is the creator of Moving Stories, an intergenerational dance program developed through her graduate research, which brings gentle, creative movement and storytelling to older adults, youth, and mixed-age communities. The program is designed to reduce isolation, support well-being, and honour participants’ lived experiences, adapting to the needs of each group and setting.

Yvonne is the artistic director of tiger princess dance projects and co-director of dance: made in canada / fait au canada Festival.
