Experience theatre-based workshops led by Soulpepper Artists and see Soulpepper plays on stage!

PROGRAM DETAILS:
We are looking for participants for Soulpepper’s Curtain Up program who:

  • Are between the ages of 16-19
  • Are able to commit to some or all sessions listed below
  • Are interested in exploring spoken word, stage combat, and/or acting
  • Want to participate in hands-on workshops, see Soulpepper plays and attend talkbacks with artists

PROGRAM COST:

FREE!  In addition, Soulpepper will give each participant $20 per session for food and transportation costs.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

Each session includes a workshop, meal break, performance and talkback with artists. You can sign up for one, two, or all three sessions.

Workshop: Spoken Word
Date: Saturday, October 20, 10:30am - 4:30pm
Play: Oraltorio: a Theatrical Mixtape written and performed by MOTION. Music and performed by DJ L'Oqenz. 
*Please note that this play contains mature language

Workshop: Stage Combat
Date: Saturday, November 10, 10:00am - 5:00pm
Play: The Royale by Marco Ramirez.
*Please note that this play contains mature content

Workshop: Acting
Date: Saturday, December 15, 10:00am - 4:30pm
Play: A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Adapted by Michael Samata.
